Alpine Paws was founded in 2025, from our home in the Worcestershire countryside, but the ideas behind it started long before that. I've spent over 10 years around dogs through working in rescue and rehoming, animal welfare and campaign charities, as well as running my own pet care business (and a random degree in Wildlife Ecology & Conservation Science - which will explain the love for the outdoors and spotting mushrooms during the autumn months).

Then came Sansa.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog has had a huge influence on the way we spend our time. Her training journey hasn't always been straightforward, and it's meant putting in more time, more patience and more consistency than we'd originally expected. But that has also meant more time outdoors, more exploring and more things to work on together.

Somewhere along the way, I realised I couldn't find much dog gear that I actually wanted to use.

I wanted practical things that fitted into our life outside - with calmer colours, considered designs and that cosy alpine feel I've always loved. Alpine Paws is built around that idea - good gear, a life outdoors, and making the most of the time we get with our dogs.
